I haven't bought plastic bags in decades.  I use the grocery store bags for trash at home.  I purposefully acquired trash bins of the right size for these bags.  The bags I use are recycled.  Many grocery stores have bins for recycling their plastic bags, and if I'm short that's where I get them.
